IWCC is an approved provider of the Paraeducator Generalist Certificate Program. The 90-hour training course is conducted through Iowa Western along with a 10-hour practicum in a school setting under a licensed teacher. Participants will receive instruction on behavior management, skills to work with students and roles and responsibilities. Once the training is complete, participants will apply for the Paraeducator Generalist Certificate through the Board of Educational Examiners, where they must pay a background fee and application fee.
