Learn the essential skills and knowledge required to become a combination welder. You will experience a hands-on learning opportunity in the areas of Stick and MIG welding where safety, general welding knowledge and quality are stressed.

During this short-term training program you will learn essential math and blueprint reading skills to become a successful fabricator and welder in today's high tech manufacturing world. You'll work on taking the AWS D.1.1 qualification test on 3/8" plate. The first qualification cost is covered by Iowa Western. Earning this qualification increases your employability!

This career training is approved for FREE tuition assistance through our Education 2 Employment program for eligible iowa residents. Financial assistance may include training tuition, textbooks, tools, certification fees, required materials and other services.
